György Busics was born in 1953
in Szombathely. He attended the Land Surveying Branch of the Budapest Technical
University. His dissertation was written on the gyro-theodolite orientation
surveying of the underground in Budapest. From 1977 he was working as a land
surveyor at the local offices of the State Enterprise of Cartography for four
years, where he took part in large-scale mapping.
He started to work at the College of Geoinformatics in Székesfehérvár in 1981
and he has been teaching and researching here since then. At present he is
responsible for the following subjects: National Triangulation Network Determination,
Satellite Positioning, Quality Management.
He takes an active part in the Hungarian application of the GPS technique,
his publications are mostly dealing with it.
He used to be one of the student organizers of the Land Surveying Club, later
he became the leader of the professional youth group at the college. He reads
lectures in conferences and in the professional association.
